THE BROWN COLLECTION
About The Brown Collection
Located in Marylebone, in Central London, the renovated 1905 mews warehouse offers four floors of exhibition space, an archive and offices.
The Brown Collection answers Glenn Brown’s long-held desire for a permanent place in London to show his collection, featuring both his own work and that of other artists.
A self-described ‘appropriation artist’, Glenn Brown makes paintings, drawings and sculptures based on works by other artists, both historic and contemporary.
Current Exhibition
The Leisure Centre is a museum experience combining the works of its founding artist Glenn Brown engaging with works from The Brown Collection from artists of the 16th to the 21st century, among them:
Abraham Bloemaert, Henri Fantin-Latour, Gaetano and Ubaldo Gandolfi, Grace Pailthorpe, Fiona Rae, Austin Osman Spare, Jan Toorop and Gillian Wearing.
